Love and Freedom

Practice of Love

We, the children of God, are by nature very free beings. There is no binding or imposing “This is the way it has to be” in the Universe. The nature of God is free, and the nature of the universe is free.

It is we ourselves who are making such self-limitations. We may have placed such limitations on ourselves without even realizing it.

What happens to us when we bind ourselves too tightly? The more we bind ourselves, the more we become unable to accept others who differ from us. They start to judge others, thinking that they are right and the other person is wrong.

For example, in child rearing, parents impose their own values on their children, saying “You should do this” or “You should do that,” ignoring the thoughts and ideas of their children and binding them with their own values. If the child doesn’t follow them, it is the child’s fault. The reason for this is that parents bind themselves with the idea that “This is the way it has to be.” I believe that they are trying to bind their children with their own bondage.

Originally, there is no such thing as “this is the way it has to be” in the Universe. The God of the Universe does not force or bind us to “do this”. God has given us absolute free will.

It is precisely because we are given such freedom that we are able to express love in our own way. If we are not free, we will not be able to truly express our love as children of God. This means that freedom is necessary for the expression of love.

Of course, in the law of cause and effect, we have to take responsibility for what we think and what we do. However, God respects each person’s free will, no matter what it is, as long as it is a learning experience for the soul.

However, since the Universe itself is filled with overwhelming love, and God himself is the energy of love itself, it is also true that those who are not in tune with the love of the Universe will not be able to exist in the Universe.

Freedom shines most brightly when it is exercised in the direction of love. Since our existence is love and a manifestation of love, it is natural to think about it, but it may be easy to forget. If we exercise our freedom in a direction that is contrary to love, we may be allowed to do so, but we will only make ourselves unhappy.
