Somewhat often, what comes out of our mouths is a lot of grumbling and complaining. If visualized, those thoughts and words are like a thin black smog, darkening and weighing down not only ourselves but also those around us.
Why do we complain? It is, after all, because we lack gratitude for things as they are.
It is as the saying goes, “Knowing contentment.” It is not about wanting more and more, but about realizing that we already have enough and being content with that. We tend to focus so much on “what we don’t have” that we forget to focus on “what we already have.”
How blessed we are and how grateful we are for our current state. Once you realize this, you will be able to say “thank you” instead of whining or complaining. Visually speaking, such thoughts and words are like a golden mist that shines on you and brightens up your surroundings as well.
I have never seen a happy person who is constantly complaining. Happiness escapes from such people.
